"I could feel the exact moment my mind snapped; shattered into a million pieces to match those of my heart."

                                                                                                                                   - Steve   7-22-22

*********************************

In the beginning, Orly and I planned to blog old age as a couple.  The ups and downs. The humorous stories about marriage .  Information on aging, family, marriage.

Sadly, on July 22, 2022, Orly was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

To say I (we) was devastated is an understatement.  We have had some time to process this situation.  Orly has been in chemo treatment for 17 cycles.  She is a real WARRIOR.

Still, life goes on.  Even in the depths of misery, one can find humor.  Indeed, one must find humor in order to go on.

So, while the focus has changed slightly, this blog is still about growing old together and the detours we face in the process.

You will still find humorous stories and words of wisdom (funny how tragedy makes you wise), though now one will also find somber pieces and inspirational stories related to our experiences.

Not all is sad.  Hope has not been lost, or even wounded.  We just have to remember our own slogan - Live a Little.

************************************************

For my wife, Orly,  and I, it was love at first sight.  I know how corny this sounds, but we were engaged within the month; married a few after that with the promise to be together Always and Forever.  That was 1990.

We have used our second motto, Live a Little, to inspire each other to take risks, seek rewards and just enjoy life.

Now, 32 years and 6 kids (no grandkids, yet) later, Orly and I are still exploring.  Perhaps more so now that we have matured.  We talk of travel now that the kids are able to care for themselves and each other, and our main roles require less and less time.

We want to spend what time we have left living life to the fullest and sharing our adventures, ups and downs.

Always and Forever serves as our vessel to share topics of interest to like minded people; older, wiser and with the ability to laugh at the absurdity of life.

All are welcome and invited to Live a Little.

WE INVITE YOU TO GET TO KNOW US AND, PERHAPS, LIVE A LITTLE.
